Who’s the course for?

Individuals who intend to or are already working in the field of the scaffolding industry as a supervisor.

Course aims and benefits:

To develop core management skills required to be an effective scaffolding supervisor and further understanding of Health and Safety requirements ensuring others are following these.

Certification:

CITB Certificate – Scaffold Supervisor

Successful candidates will gain knowledge and skills in:

• Construction industry best practice to supervise the day to day process of managing the scaffold phase of construction projects
• Safe Systems – understanding and implementing safe systems of working
• Risk Assessments – producing, interpreting and using
• Method Statements – producing, interpreting and using
• Tool Box Talks – delivering safety briefings and identifying promoting the key elements
• Estimating – how to estimate the materials required for each individual scaffold project
• Scaffold Drawings – reading and understand scaffold related drawings

Training methods:

Practical inspections, Classroom/Tutorials

Methods of assessment:

Practical Assessment, Theory exam, Project delivery

Entry requirements:

Candidates must be working as, or working towards supervising/managing in the scaffold sector and have good understanding and experience of the scaffold industry.
